Our beloved mother, aunt and great aunt went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the age of 86. Delores was born in Georgetown, MS, daughter of the late Henry and Luvenia Smith. She was married to O.C. Harris. He predeceased her in 1993. She was a member of Burning Bush C.O.G.I.C. and was on the mothers board for many years and has been faithful to Gods ministry.
Her memory will be cherished by adopted daughter DeAngela Harris, special niece Christian Byrd, great niece Kristen Lynn Martin and her adored sister-in-law Goldie Harris; Godchildren Orlando and Ellamae Bradshaw and Naomi Snead; a dear brother and sister in the Lord: Bro. Thomas and Julia Moore; special friend Mother Pearl Alfred, The Burning Bush Church Family and many nieces and nephews, very dear friends Dell and Nancy Briggs and Dr. Terrance Joiner. Mother Delores was predeceased by nine siblings: Eddie Smith, David Smith, Rev. J.C. Smith, Olamae Porter, Supt. Archie Smith, Mamie Davis, Mattie Harris and Beatrice Smith. We will forever miss our loving mother, aunt and great aunt.
