Demetrius Christopher Mason "Chris"

Mr. Demetrius Christopher Mason “Chris” passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 35 years. He was born December 29, 1987, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Linda Tyler and Fredrick Johnson, and was later adopted by Gwendolyn Mason.

Chris was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of Saginaw, High School Class of 2005, and later attended Delta College. Chris was employed at Wolverine Human Services. Demetrius was a humble person who enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and going to the casino. Demetrius was full of life, and he had the biggest heart. Every morning he had a routine, making his rounds checking on his family. He loved to talk smack; he most definitely was the life of the party, and he will be greatly missed.

Demetrius leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life his daughter, Brazil Forever Marie Mason; mother, Linda Tyler; father, Fredrick Johnson; nine sisters, Nia Johnson, Manhattan, Kansas, Shardae Mason, Asia Porter-Menzie, Opal (Tristan) Marshall, India Collins, Charmaine Burrell, Desirae Mason, Lynn Mason, and Kimberly Mason, all of Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Da’Marko Johnson, Tyrone Wilkins, D’Quavous McKnight, Tyrell Bridgewater, E’Maris Johnson, Earl Johnson Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan, Donterrien Williams, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jermaine Burrell, Saginaw, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; many other relatives and friends including his fiancée Britashia Fisher; nephew, Darius Mason; uncle, Stacy Johnson; special friends, Richard Trevino, Malcolm Thomas, Red, Delano Stevenson, Dequavis Smith, and Willie Shavers, all of Saginaw, Michigan.

Demetrius was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Mason; grandparents, Gloria and Douglas Johnson, Ester Tyler, and L.C. Haynes; brother, Michael Mason; uncles, Ricky Tyler, Michael Tyler, Ricky Williams, Eric Dorsey, Winston Mason Jr., and Terry Mason, and cousin, Aaron Johnson.
