Mr. Demitrice “Bone” A. Riley unexpectedly passed away Sunday, June 16, 2021, at his residence in Lansing. Michigan. Age 51 years. He was born July 22, 1969, to parents, John and Cora Riley in Detroit, Michigan.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of LaMay Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Demitrice attended Detroit Public School where he was a star football player. During one of his games, Demitrice broke the leg of the opposing team’s player, this is where he gained the nickname “Bone Crusher”. Later it would be shortened to “Bone”.
Demitrice loved fishing, skating, DJ music, and playing Call of Duty. He loved family gatherings and was quite the ladies man. Often, he was the life of the party, with a laugh that was unforgettable.
He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Demitrice leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, LaTasha (Lamar) White, Lola Straughter; son, Demitrice Riley, Jr.; grandchildren, Lamar, Jr., Layla, Lila, La Draya, Andre, Arnez; his mother Cora Riley; sister, Pricilla (Timmy); brothers, John (LaTasha), Darnell (Jewell), Litrail (Alicia), Jermaine Newell; nieces, Tashae, Renee, Janecka, Raynisha, Anaeya, Angelica, Alyasia, Amaria, and Tanesha; nephews, Michael, Trevion, Nathaniell, Gary, Johnathon, Timmy III Lendele, Connor, Darnell, Jr., Malik, Morease; 2 aunts; 6 uncles; and special friend, Robin Parkhurst.
Waiting to welcome Demitrice to his new heavenly home is his father, John Riley, Sr; nephew, Timmy Fields, Jr.; and great-nephew, DeAireon Riley.
