Denis Dewitt Turbin

The eldest son of the late Walter Turbin and Burt and Mary Sheldon, passed away peacefully at St Mary’s Hospital on November 12, 2020.

He was born October 31, 1949. Denis graduated with the class of 1967 at Arthur Technical High School. He was employed at Sheet Metal Union Local 7 until his retirement in 2005.

Denis married Audrey Wuolukka on June 21, 1968. She survives him. He is also survived by his children; Denis Jr. (LeeAnn Smith), Eric (Tracy), Christopher (Angie), Jeffry (Kim). Grandchildren; Steven (Paula), Crystal (Ken), Angela (Robie), Danielle, Kayla, Alisha (Nate), Cheyenne, Cassidy, Adam (Sarah), Samantha, Logan and Rob (Carrie). Great-Grandchildren; Mary Lynn, Haden Zachary, Anthone, Hunter, Gracie, Lil Robie, Walker, (Best Bud) Ollen, Suzanna, Hayden Mathew, Sofia, Riley and our newest Olivia Rae. Sister Rebecca Rae, sister’s and brother’s in-law Carolyn (Pat) Grzesiak, Rick Wuolukka, Jeanette Wuolukka, Tillie Wuolukka, many nieces and nephews and cousins, good friends Pete, Dave and Valinda Byce, and many other great family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Lil Charolette, father and mother-in-law Frank and Helen Wuolukka, Sister Susan, Brother Michael, brother-in-laws Frank, William,Earl, and Carl; a sister-in-law Kay Wuoulkka and a nephew Patrick Grzesiak Jr., nieces Cindy Wuolukka and Jennifer Wuolukka; and an uncle he was just like and loved dearly Uncle Burt (Aunt Marge) Turbin.

Cremation has taken place by Paradise Funeral Chapel of Saginaw, MI. No service will be handled at this time. The family will have a private get together. Denis always said he did not want a funeral to empty out our pole barn and have a big party so everyone watch for a big party next summer when it is warm outside per his wishes.
