Mr. Dennis McKinney, our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, went home to be with the Lord at age 67 on Thursday, May 16, 2019. He was born on May 25, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John and Bernice McKinney.
Dennis retired from the Dow Chemical Corporation after 32 years of service. He loved his family and friends and working with computers. One of Dennis' favorite pastimes was dancing, which he loved to do. He was generous to all, and as a commitment to be of service to others, he recently rededicated himself to Christ.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents John and Bernice McKinney; brother, Perry Wayne McKinney; sisters, Barbara Ann Sweeney and Laverne Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory brothers, John (Linda) McKinney, Chicago, Illinois, Maurice (Ginger) McKinney; sisters, Lorraine McKinney, his twin Denise McKinney, Phyllis (James) Scarbrough, all of Saginaw, Michigan; uncle, Roosevelt Bell, Chicago, Illinois; special cousin, Huedell McKinney; goddaughter, Tasha Hemphill; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Jimmy Alexander, Tom Severson, Mark Kloha and T.J. Robinson..
The family would like to thank all their family and friends for the prayers and kindness shown to them, the staff of Mid-Michigan Hospital, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
