Desiree Coleman

April 18, 1963 — October 4, 2015

Ms. Desiree (Archer) Coleman passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 52 years. She was born April 18, 1963 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Clarence Whiting and Annie Ruth Archer.

Desiree lived in Saginaw, Michigan, and most recently resided in Lansing, Michigan. She was a long-term member of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ and Galilee Baptist Church both of Lansing, Michigan. She worked at Halls Cleaning Service and Shanoras Beauty Supply Store. Desiree enjoyed doing hair, cooking and cleaning. She spent most of her time with her grandchildren, loving and catering to them. Desiree had a heart of gold, opening her home and heart to anyone that needed her. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Taniesha (Daymon) Williams, April McIntyre and Aries Coleman, all of Lansing, Michigan; one son, DeVante Archer, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Damonte Evans, Corey Evans, DeQuarius Jones, DeQuarion Mitchell-Scroggins, DeVante Archer, Jr., Marquiah Archer, Miracle Menzies, Trinity Archer, Tayah Reynolds, Dream Archer and special granddaughter, DaCoria Evans; grandfather, Willie Sherman; five sisters, Beverly Archer, Patricia (Anthony) Spinner, Diane Crowell, Dorthia (Eric) Eggleston and Tamika Buckley; one brother, George Archer, Jr. (Rosetta); many nieces including a special niece, Christina Peaches Patman, many nephews, aunts and uncles; a host of cousins including a special cousin, (C.I.C.) Dawn Doster; goddaughter, Kyra Jones, many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Latoya Proffit-McClayton.

Desiree was preceded in death by her mother Annie Ruth Archer, fathers, George Robert Archer and Clarence Whiting, grandmothers, Mammie King and Josie Sherman, grandfather, Gurnie Doster, Sr., grandson, LaVante Archer, cousin, Travon Doster, Sr., aunt, Gloria Marie Doster and cousin, Kevon Anthony Doster.

The family would like to express special thanks to everyone for your prayers, calls and love for our family during our time of need, Pastor Robert L. Brown, Sr., Reverend Kirklin D. Hall, Sr., and Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
