Diane Dorsey

Our beloved mother, daughter and sister passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Mrs. Diane Dorsey was born September 11, 1959 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Minnie Mae and John E. Longuemire Sr. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. Diane graduated from Saginaw High School Class of 1977. Diane was a mentor and mother figure too many. Diane enjoyed shopping, reading, eating out and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Minnie Mae Longuemire, two daughters, Jacqueline N. and Dinah L. Dorsey; five sons, Corey Welch Sr., Kenneth (Hope) Longuemire, Eric (Renella) Harris, Rodney Clayton Jr., and Terry J. Ervin; eight grandsons, Darius and Jaylen of Lithonia, GA, Corey Jr, Isaac, Jeffrey, Torrance and Kentae; one granddaughter, Laila Rose; nine siblings, Bruce A. (Valerie) of Kalamazoo, John E. Jr., of Holland, MI, Lamont (Rose), Darren (Ladena), Arthur (Wanda), and Anthony (Latrice) Longuemire all of Detroit, MI, Loretta Longuemire of Nashville, TN, and Vanessa Longuemire of Saginaw MI; three brothers-in-law, Richard (Thomasina) Dorsey, Michael Dorsey of Shreveport, LA, and James (Rose) Dorsey Sr., of Grand Rapids, MI; two sisters-in-law, Patricia (Archie) Tullos and Margaret (Michael) Stone of Saginaw, MI. Many special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including Cheryl Young, Clare Snow, Faith Wiley, Geraldine Green, Tammy Price, Faye Ervin, Rodney Clayton, Sr., Juanita Weems, Kerry Robinson, Felicia McBride, Ruth Ransom, and Leane Dugan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Dorsey; father, John E. Longuemire, Sr; brother, Kenneth E. Longuemire; sister-in-law, Sharon Longuemire, aunt, Roxie Booth; uncle, Ulysses C. Williams and niece Jahna Longuemire.
