Mr. D’Mereay DeShawn Hogg was born July 9, 1996 in Saginaw, Michigan to Tamika Walker and Dehaven Hogg, Sr. He passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Houston, Texas at the young age of 22 years.
D’Mereay graduated from high school in 2014. At the time of his death he was a resident of Houston, Texas. He loved basketball and rap and dreamed of becoming a rapper himself. As he was pursuing his dreams, he held various jobs but due to illness he was unable to continue working.
D’Mereay was funny. He was always telling jokes and making people laugh. He enjoyed watching movies, especially all the Friday movies. His favorite rapper was Kevin Gates and his teams were the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets. More than music, movies and sports, D’Mereay loved spending time with his family. He adored his baby girl Aleah, and she was the light of his life. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who always put his family first.
D’Mereay was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rhonda Hogg and cousin, Jaylynn Ferguson.
He leaves to cherish his memory mother, Tamika Walker; father, Dehaven Hogg, Sr.; daughter, Aleah Michelle Ramos; two sisters, Shaniqua Hogg (Alex), Tynia Hogg; five brothers, Dehaven Jr., Darayvion, Tre’Vion, Desmond and Tarrie Sparks; grandparents, Darlene Smith, Lois (Terry) Smith, Charles Laury; great-grandmother, Pearl Carr; four nieces; three nephews; aunts, Irea Walker, Candice (Randall) Cronk, Kimberly Smith, Denesia (Larry) Cruz; many cousins and special cousin, Demetrius Stokes, Jr.; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends Jada Briggs, Connor Clifton and Lene Rames.
