Dollie Laster

Mrs. Dollie Ann Laster peacefully transitioned into her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the age of 63 years. She was born February 22, 1952 in Glen Allan, Mississippi to Inez Manuel Selvey and Grover Cleveland Selvey.
Dollie confessed Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. She attended Glen Allan High School in Mississippi. Dollie relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1978. She loved the Lord and was a humble servant until her health began to fail her. Dollie enjoyed cooking and watching Lifetime movies. She was a strong woman who loved her children and grandchildren. Her wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Issac Laster; two daughters, Lashondra Selvey (Bruce) and Maratie (Martez) Johnson both of Saginaw, Michigan; three stepchildren, Fredrick Anderson, Issac Laster Jr. and Issac Laster III all of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Tenesah Selvey, Jasmine Selvey, Dequantaize Bibbs, Dontray Bibbs, Darneisha Cobb, Tatiyana Grant, Jeremiah Johnson, DelCoya Selvey, Romeo Selvey, Anthony Green, Anthony Parham, Stariona Parham and Beanina Boatman; ten great-grandchildren; her father, Grover Cleveland Selvey; three sisters, Linda Dickerson of Metcalf, Mississippi, Falstine Jones of Rolling Fork, Mississippi and Cornelia Adway of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Larry Selvey and James Earl Selvey both of Mississippi; special nieces, Janice (Kitchens) Jones, Janet (Curt) Collins, Juanita (Eric) Taylor, Shenika Jones, and her favorite niece, Tenesha (Keith) Shephard-Artis; one uncle, Clarence Hall Uncle Bud three brothers-in-law, Irvin Laster, Robert Laster Jr. Bobby and Earven Adway Jr.; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sam Shaw, Queenie Laster, Wanda Stapleton Polly and James Johnson.
Dollie was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Selvey, mother, Inez Selvey, grandparents, John and Mary Manuel, Cordelia and John Selvey, one brother, Charles Selvey, one sister, Norma Jean McDavid, two nephews, Franscoir Shepherd and Charles John.
The family would like to express special thanks to our extended family, our many friends and our church family for your visits, phone calls, food, being go-fers and the countless acts of kindness shown to us during our time of bereavement.
