Dolores Frierson

January 26, 1946 — January 17, 2016

Mrs. Dolores Patricia Ann Frierson our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend made her heavenly transition home on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 69 years. She was born January 26, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to Otis D. Conwell and Rosie Lee Daily.
Dolores was employed by Saginaw Public School District as a teacher. She taught Sewing and Child Care at the Career Complex Center. She also was employed with Saginaw General Hospital where she was a nurse. She enjoyed basketball games, knitting, gardening, playing with her great-grandchildren and trips to the Casino. Dolores was the back bone of the family. She stayed busy cleaning and taking care of her home and family members. Her husband Dokey loved and appreciated her. The children will remember that she was a woman who said what she meant and meant what she said. She was very direct.
Wonderful memories will be cherished by her husband, Napoleon Frierson; one daughter, Dimetrice Pierson of Saginaw, Michigan; three sons, Rodney Terrell (Niki) Frierson of Columbia, Tennessee, Mark Anthony (Kira) Conwell of Houston, Texas and Daryl Frierson of Marshall Town, Iowa; five grandchildren, Governor James (Bernay) Pierson, DeMarkous Terrell (Dorothy) Conwell, LaShawn Conwell, Jalcolby Conwell and Briana Conwell; six great-grandchildren, Jayden Zye Pierson, Jordon Armani Pierson, Jaxson Amil Pierson, Genesis Brielle Floyd, Imory J. Hall, and Jayden Jor-el Conwell; one niece, Roseland McKnight of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee; one nephew, Luther Jerry McKnight of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee; one first cousin, Barbara Crawford; one sister-in-law, Sadie Reynolds; one brother-in-law, James Edward Frierson; many other relatives and friends including special friends Linda Stork, Effie Tellius, Rosemary Martino, Barbara Montgomery and Betty Chaney and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis D. Conwell and Rosie Lee Daily; sister, Mattie Pearl McKnight and special friend, Lee Jones.
