Domingo Salazar (Muncie, In)

Mr. Domingo D. Salazar passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. Age 79 years. He was born December 22, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to his parents, Crescencio Salazar and Pauline Travino Salazar.

Domingo lived in Lansing, Michigan for much of his life. After 3 years in the Army, he worked for General Motors until retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, and spending time with family as well as traveling. Domingo took in 3 young boys; raised them as his own. The boys’ families grew to include children, so naturally, he became their grandfather. For the past 4 years, his youngest grandson was by his side daily; Aspen was his little sidekick.

He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons, Steven Caldwell, Andy Sherman and Jeremy Tsacas; grandchildren, Dillion Sherman, Brandon Sherman, Summer Tsacas, Aspen Bankston, Masters Tsacas, David Robbins and Evan Robbins; sisters, Mitilda Mendoza and Sista Salazar Mancillas; brothers, Felipe Salazar and Carlos Salazar; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Domingo was preceded in death by his father, Crescencio Salazar; mother, Pauline Travino Salazar; sisters, Santos Martinez and Mary Hendricks; brothers, Telesforo Salazar, Isagro Salazar, Joe Salazar, Candido Salazar and Pedro Salazar.
