Donald Granison

Donald Vertella Granison was born October 13, 1940 to the late Vertella Granison and Charlie Mae (Chasie) Hood in Saginaw, MI. His name was called by God on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the well-lived age of 80 years.

He was a resident of Detroit, Michigan where he relocated after graduating from Saginaw High School. Donald Granison was affectionately known as Donnie the preacher on the streets. He was a lover of God and he loved to tell people about Gods goodness.

Donnie married his high school sweetheart Catherine Thomas. They later divorced but remained friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Vertella Granison, two sisters Peggie Parker & Sandra Atkins and two brothers Jack Granison and Ricky Granison.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his four children, one daughter Donna Pressley Atlanta GA, three sons Orlando Granison Saginaw, MI, Darrick (Brenda) Granison Minneapolis, MN, Craig Granison Saginaw, MI, three sisters Lucille Granison Detroit, MI, Kimberly (Oscar) Williams Saginaw, MI, Kelly (Joe) Calhoun Saginaw, MI, one brother Jason Hood Saginaw, MI, six grandchildren, Donte Granison, Sharie Granison, Daria Granison, Jazmine Granison, Craig Granison a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a good friend Kevin Miller.
