Donald (Lansing) Warren

Mr. Donald Dwayne Warren departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital. Age 50 years. He was the 2nd child born to Barbara Crompton and the late Michael D. Johnson on November 13, 1964 in Lansing, Michigan. Donald was later adopted by Bishop William H. Warren and the late Icy Warren.
Donald was a graduate of J.W. Sexton High School and received a Culinary Certificate from Lansing Community College. His last place of employment before his accident was at the Hilton/Spinnaker Hotel of Grand Rapids, Michigan as a Line Cook. He enjoyed cooking, car detailing, sports and being the boss of everyone he knew. He was a loving guy in his own way and had a special skill at speaking many choice words.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Tanisha (Ernest) Warren-Cole of Nashville, Tennessee, Amber Warren, Aaron Sturdivant and Charley Warren all of Lansing, Michigan: one son, Dominique Warren of Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren, Chenelle Warren-Macin of St. Louis, Missouri, Jalhiyla Cole and Jayla Cole both of Nashville, Tennessee, Dominique Warren Jr. and JaNiyah Offutt both of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Marina Crompton of Lansing, Michigan, April Simmons of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Ashley Holbert Johnson; seven brothers, James Michael Warren of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronnie Warren, William Warren, DeOndray Johnson all of Lansing, Michigan, Michael Johnson Davis, Halbert Crompton and John Crompton; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends, Ernest Beasley and Adrian Thompson.
Donald was preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Icy E. Warren and brother, Joseph D. Buycks.
