Ms. Dora Lee Griffin passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 75 years. She was born on October 18, 1941 in Doddsville, Mississippi to Horace and Henrietta Wilson, Jr.
Dora was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She completed her education in the Mississippi school system. Dora loved being a homemaker and she enjoyed bingo. She was a loving mother and provider for her family. Dora will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter and two sons, Michael (Tonya) Griffin, Gallatin, Tennessee, Kelvin (Kim) Griffin, and Capatreon Howard, Saginaw, Michigan; one step-son, Gary Griffin, Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Jaquay Parker, Ft. Walton, Florida, Michael Gilliam and Monique Smith, Clarksville, Tennessee, William, Kelvin and Alex Butler-Griffin, Saginaw, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Jerimiah and Jasmine, Ft. Walton, Florida, Kemia, Tanisha, Victor and Justice, Clarksville, Tennessee; step-grandchildren, Monique Griffin and Shemail Beeman, Ypsilanti, Michigan, Derail Beeman, Saginaw, Michigan; four sisters, Minnie Reed, New Orleans, Louisiana, Margree Aldridge and Catherine Wilson, Saginaw, Michigan, Earlina White, Detroit, Michigan; four brothers, Terry (Karen), Perry, Kenny (Carolyn) and Eddie (Sara) Wilson, all of Detroit, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special cousin, Mildred Hill, Dallas, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Johnetta Wilson, Saginaw, Michigan, Sherry Wilson, Detroit, Michigan, and Brenda (Doug) Carter, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Douglass Lane and Bernice Scott.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Henrietta Wilson, Jr.; two sisters, Dorthy and Beverly Wilson; two brothers, Josh and Willie Wilson, and one step-daughter, Vera Griffin.
