Ms. Dorothy Mae Harris passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 79 years. She was born April 9, 1945, to R.L. Windum and L.B. Windum in Robinsonville, Mississippi.
Ms. Harris was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church where Cedric Nickson is Pastor. Dorothy Mae was a homemaker and an entrepreneur with three stores in Saginaw. She enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch-off tickets.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter and one son, Ernest Windum West, Carrie Reed; one stepson, Ardell Brewer; 20 grandchildren including special grandchildren, Cedrick and Jeremiah West; 43 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Ann Harvey, Saginaw, Michigan, and Evelyn Windum-Hubbard, Robinsonville, Mississippi; many nieces including Teresa Denise Harvey, Atlanta, Georgia, LaShunda Horton, Memphis, Tennessee, and Raven Harvey, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special friends, her chore provider, Wendy Bryan; a special friend, Celestine Buckley; good friends, Sam, and John “JT” (Shirley) Jones.
Dorothy Mae Harris was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy West and Cladey Wilson; son, Eddie West III; mother and father, R.L. Windum, L.B. Windum; three brothers, Henry Windum, John Windum, and Luke Windum; and sister, Marie Jennings.
