Douglas Waldren (Lansing)

Mr. Douglas Waldren “Doug” passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 76 years. Born September 10, 1945, in Hastings, Michigan, to parents, John Orlando and Mary Jane Waldren.

Doug was raised in Lake Odessa, Michigan and graduated from Lakewood Public Schools in 1964. He worked at Keeler Brass and later at General Motors.

On December 13, 1969, Doug married the love of his life, the late Linda Bassett-Waldren. They both had a love for animals, especially cats.

Doug had a love for old cars, country music, and Elvis. He also enjoyed traveling, he and Linda took many vacations throughout the United States.

He will be remembered for his humor, storytelling,  1964 Mustang, and the love he held for his family.

Doug leaves to cherish his memory many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda; parents, John and Mary; sisters, Vada Marie, Vivian Gertrude, Lillian Bernice, Ellen Beatrice, Leona Edna, Wreatha Ann, and Margaret Lee; brothers, Lyle Orlando, and twin boys.
