Dwayne Mans (Lansing)

September 15, 1960 — October 16, 2015

Mr. Dwayne Everett Mans transitioned into his Heavenly home on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the age of 55 years. He was born September 15, 1960 in Lansing, Michigan to Alonzo Sr. and Blanche Mans.

Dwayne was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan where he graduated from Everett High School in 1978. An avid sports fan, he co-founded S.K.I.L.L.S. (Support Kids In Learning League Sports) Basketball Program. He also coached Freshman and Junior Varsity Girls Basketball. Dwayne touched the lives of many young people. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to celebrate his legacy two daughters, LaSandra (Robert) Crenshaw and LaTia (J.C.) Russell; grandchildren, Robert Crenshaw III and Gabriella Russell; four brothers, Alonzo Sr. (Rose) Mans, Ricky Mans, Bruce Sr. (Linda) Mans and Kenneth Sr. (Tammy) Mans; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Mark Young.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Carter Mans and his parents, Alonzo Sr. and Blanche McNary Mans.

The family would like to express special thanks to everyone who offered love, prayers and support to our family during this time of bereavement.
