Dwight Alexander Williams

Mr. Dwight Alexander Williams was born February 15, 1960 in Cheriton, Virginia, the son of Pennie White and Edward Satchell. He made his transition on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Age 59 years.

Dwight attended Cody High School in Detroit, Michigan. He lived in Saginaw, Michigan for a while before moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dwight was a good man. Not only was he a good man but he was a loving son, protective brother, good father, grandfather, and friend. Dwight did not amount a great deal of wealth but what he did possess was a huge heart. He was a kind man. If he could help someone in any way he would. If you needed a babysitter, a cook, your car washed, your yard cut and trimmed, a companion, someone to keep you company on a long trip, you could count on Dwight.

Dwight kept you laughing and he loved everyone. He loved the outdoors and he always wanted to travel. He did a great deal of traveling but now he has traveled his last journey. Dwight will always be on our minds and in our hearts as we say goodbye to him today. Keep moving on Dwight, we will miss you.

Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Edward Satchell; grandmother, Katie Mae Carolina; great-grandmother, Dorothy Thompson.

He leaves precious memories with his mother, Pennie (Thomas) White; daughters, Nicole and Diana Rodriquez; sons, Dwight A. Rodriquez, Seneca D. Rodriquez; grandchildren, Dezzaray Rodriquez-Jones, Dionne Mills II, DeMarreon Rodriquez, Taneal Jones, Janeal Jones II, De’Monteonna Hayes, De’Nita Hayes, Af’Tionna Rodriquez, Dwight A. Rodriquez, Jr., Jada K. Rodriquez; grandfather, Curtis Carolina, Cheriton, Virginia; sisters, Yvonne Grant, Veronica Ford, both of Gaston, South Carolina; brothers, Darrell (Maria) Bentham, Melton, Florida, Joe Jr. (Drinder) Ford, Columbia, South Carolina; nieces, Kellease Murray, Jessica Ford, Gaston, South Carolina, Tenisha Bentham, Pensacola, Florida; nephews, Marquavese Ford Brookins, Gaston, South Carolina, Joe III and Jackson Ford, Columbia, South Carolina, Darrell Lee Bentham, Jr.; aunts, Dorothy Tazewell, Patricia (Dale) Robinson, Cheriton, Virginia; uncle, John (Georgine) Williams, Hackensack, New Jersey; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friend, Nieche Palmer, long-time friend since 1977, Maurice Kelly, Richard Avery, and mother of his children, Diana Rodriquez.
