Earl Trainor, Jr. (Lansing)

Mr. Earl Trainor, Jr. passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, Michigan. Age 83 years. He was born July 19, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents, Earl, Sr. and Rosie Trainor. Earl was the oldest of four children.

Earl moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1964 for work opportunities to support his family. In 1969, he brought his wife, Ruth Lee and six children to Lansing to live. He worked for General Motors Corporation for 35 years. Earl loved working on cars in his spare time. He was a very hard-working man. Earl loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory 10 children, Alonzo (Earline), Belinda, Floyd (Ireah), Charles (Marguerite), Cynthia, Randy (Matricia), Anthony (Leeandrea), Lydell (Delia), Tyrone (Roslyn) and Felicia; 35 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Ernestine Wallace and Fletcher Trainor; 9 sisters-in-law; 6 brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lee Trainor; parents, sister, Velma Jones; sisters-in-law, Arma Jones, Linda Jones, and WillElla Trainor; brothers-in-law, George “G-boy” Jones and Columbus Jones.
