Earlean Jiles

May 29, 1946 — May 7, 2021

Earlean Jiles made her entrance on earth the 29th day of May, 1946, in Sunflower, Mississippi, the daughter of Lonnie White and Ora Lee Wilkins. She received her wings on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the presence of her family.

Earlean attended elementary and middle school in Sunflower, Mississippi and later moved to Memphis, Tennessee and then Bay City, Michigan. She attended Bay City Central High School.

Earlean loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Some of the things she enjoyed were playing cards, going to bingo, going to the casino and collecting elephant “what-nots”. Her most charitable times were spent with her significant other of 38 years, Sherman Joseph Basco.

Earlean will truly be missed by her life partner, Sherman Joseph Basco; daughter, Sabina Jiles; sons, James Arthur (Stacy) Jiles, Anthony Wayne Jiles; grandchildren, Ta-Tanesha, LaKesha, Urshel, Zachary, Tamara, Rayshawna, Alexis, Anya and Taryn; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (David) Berry, Lavonne (Robert) Davis, Ora Lee "Billie" Wilkins, Man Jr. (Shirley) Lewis; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Earlean was preceded in death by her daughter, Lue-Rene Wilkins-Brown; parents, Lonnie White and Ora Lee Wilkins; grandmother, Charity Wilkins; siblings, Henry Lee Wilkins and Katie Mae Wilkins-Gutierrez; grandsons, Jamar Parker and Odell Abraham III.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Sabrina Crimes, Bay City Special Care, Levi B. Jiles, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
