Earlene Adway

Mrs. Earlene Adway departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the age of 66 years. She was born June 8, 1949 in Sherrill, Arkansas to I.C. Garner and Ruby Walker Smith.
Earlene was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed with General Motors for over 30 years. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Adway; four stepchildren, Antonio (Tarmika) Adway, Laquita (Finis) Stribling, James and Jamaal Adway; grandchildren, Antonio Adway Jr., Taylor Adway, Tyler Adway, Finis IV, Kylan and Tre Stribling, Ebonni and Jilea Adway; mother, Ruby Walker Smith; five sisters, Doris Garner, Sonyia Pope, Vickie Slaughter, Belinda Thomas and Lisa Williams; two brothers, Andre Humphrey Sr. and Darrell Humphrey; several step-brothers and sisters; two aunts, Irene Parker and Johnnie Mae Webb; six sisters-in-law, Loistene Johnson, Felicia Adway, Jerri Taylor, Bobbie Freeman, Mary Adway and Cornelia Adway; nine brothers-in-law, Porter Taylor, Curtis, Barry, Earvin Jr., and Ricky Adway, Darrell Williams, Robert, Otis and Willie Adway; many nieces, including Earlena Humphrey who was her namesake; many nephews other relatives and friends including her special cousins, Gogi West, Kyiia Adway and Lynn Ducre.
She was preceded in death by her father, I.C. Garner, brother, Leotis Garner and sister, Ruby Jewell Johnson.
