Edd Roberson

Edd Roberson Jr. passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his residence. Age 59 years. He was born December 24,1951 in Prattsville, Alabama to Zeola Roberson-Tyson and Edd Roberson Sr.
He attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School class of 1970, where he was an exceptional basketball player. He also attended Northwood University. Edd retired from the Neighorhood House after 35 years of service. He was a pillar in the south side community, touching many lives. Mr. Roberson coached many youths and was also a father figure to many. Edd loved all sports, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren & family. He was a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Edd loved life, people and his ministry of touching many lives, this was evident throughout his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his companion, Delores McNair; two children, Kristen Duran (Johnny), Stone Roberson; seven step-children, Donald Donyell, Donnece and Donae Patrick, Myron McNair, Dwarne McNair and Tracy Hernandez; three grandchildren, Jordan, Javian and Jayden; six sisters, Carolyn Jones, Gladys Williams, Barbra Roberson, Jannie Johnson, Gloria Ford, Tracy Wesley; three brothers, Kene Roberson, Donald (Roberta) Madden, Harold Jackson; one aunt, Sally Mae Stoudimire; one uncle, Willie Smith; three special cousins, Betty Jackson, Damus (Ann) Gardner, David (Debra) Gardner; many other relatives and friends including a special nephew, his namesake, Edd D. Roberson; special friends, Barbara A. Roberson, Stacy Duran-Shells.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zeola Roberson Tyson, Edd Roberson Sr., son, Anton L. Johnson; brother, Lemoris Roberson; nephews, Terrence C. Roberson, Daniel Gardner, Detrich Duran, niece, Dana T. Roberson.
