Edgar Jones

Mr. Edgar Jones entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 44 years. He was born January 7, 1979, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Vera L. Jones and Hathard Gatlin.

Edgar was a member of New Birth Baptist Cathedral under the leadership of Bishop Larry Camel. He attended Saginaw Public Schools. Edgar was employed at Sparkle Buggy Car Wash. He enjoyed barbeques and socializing with friends and family.

He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Kadeisha Pought, Emiyha Jones, Edgar Gerard Jones Jr, and Gabrielle Jones; one grandchild, Dequane Allen Jr; mother; Vera L. Jones; grandfather, Lee Johnson; sister, Priscilla Jones-Butts; one niece, Shahala Butts, two nephews, Eric Butts, and Joshuwaa Butts; aunts, Katherine Feltson-Graves, Marilyn Johnson, Margo Harper, and Tammy McKee; two uncles, James and Terry Johnson; many cousins including Jason, Darryl, and Lee Donald; godmother, Odenia Carruth; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Willie Branch and Ras Marsellis.

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Hathard Gatlin; grandmother, Dorothy Harper, and a host of other relatives and friends.
