Mr. Edgar Williams Stuckett went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, after a long-term illness, his loving wife at his side. Age 73 years. He was born on February 18, 1948, in Greenville, Mississippi to Miller Stuckett, Sr., and Janie Mae Stuckett.
Mr. Stuckett was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He confessed in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Edgar received his early education in the Greenville Mississippi Public School District, attending Coleman Middle School, and graduating from O’Bannon High School, “Class of 1968.” While in school, Edgar loved playing football. He met and married the love of his life, Margaret Stuckett, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years. He relocated to Saginaw in 1971 and was employed by General Motors Corporation, Chevrolet Malleable Iron, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service, and affiliation with UAW Local 455. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and playing dominoes and darts. Mr. Stuckett will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Miller Stuckett, Sr., and Janie Mae Stuckett, brother, Miller Stuckett, Jr., mother-in-law, Lillie Irene Colbert, brothers-in-law, William Colbert and Glenn Colbert, and his godmother, Eve Alexander.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his lovely, and devoted wife of 50 years, Margaret Stuckett, Saginaw, Michigan; daughters, Tracey Williams (Calvin), Greenville, Mississippi, and Linda Scott, Saginaw, Michigan; son, Willie M. (Aressa) Colbert, Greenville, Mississippi; three sisters, Annie Stuckett (William) Johnson, Evangelean Wilson, and Stella Louise Stuckett, all of Greenville, Mississippi; six brothers, Terry Stuckett, Chicago, IL, Johnny M. Stuckett, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Elijah Stuckett, Greenville, Mississippi, Darnell Stuckett, Memphis, Tennessee, Chris Stuckett, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Ervin Terrell Stuckett, Garland, Texas; five god-sisters, Helen (Alvin) Jones, Demona Hall, and Gloria Wilson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; Sherley Bowen and Susan Hall, both of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 granddaughters, Miya, Copresha, Alounda, Takayla, Aleriane, Maurissa, Latoya, Sheena, Latasha and a very special granddaughter, Alexus Carter Stuckett, whom he raised; one grandson, Shamarion; one uncle, Alvin (Velma) Williams, Little Rock, Arkansas; two aunts, Doris Washington, Chicago, IL, and Louise Jones, Saginaw, Michigan; four sisters-in-law, Patricia Wise, Saginaw, Michigan, Almetia Colbert, Denise Colbert, Erie Stuckett, Greenville, Mississippi, Shirley Johnson, St. Paul, Minnesota; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Katherine) Colbert, Sr., Atlanta, Georgia, and Cliff Harris, Saginaw, Michigan; god-daughters, Montaya, Tayonna, Ashley, Trinity, a special sister, Darnita Hodge; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
