Edmond Taylor Jr.

March 19, 1955 — October 12, 2013

Mr. Edmond Taylor Jr. gained his Heavenly wings and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the University of Michigan Health System. Age 58 years. He was born March 19, 1955 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Edmond and Earline Taylor Sr.
Edmond was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School class of 1973. He joined Cynthia L. Bruce in holy matrimony on March 25, 1978. She survives him. Edmond was employed at Delphi Automotive and was a member of UAW Local 699 for over 32 years. He retired in March 2007. Edmond was a faithful member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Paul E. Broaddus. He enjoyed gardening, barbecuing and traveling. He loved spending time with his grandbabies and family. Edmond was well known as the neighborhood grandpa. He was a very friendly person who never met a stranger. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia L. Taylor; two sons, Damion Taylor and Edmond D. Taylor III; grandchildren, Damion Taylor II, Aniya Pollard, Stedmon Johnson, Nyajah Taylor, Gabrielle Taylor, Edmond Taylor IV, Dondray Davis, Ivan Phillips, DeAngelo and Samri Taylor, McKenzie Taylor, Jacob Taylor; mother, Earline Taylor; one god-daughter, Alexis Lacy of Nashville, Tennessee; two god-sons, Joseph Polk of Pontiac, Michigan and James Doss of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Jackie (Robert) Scott, Alvis (Roy) Thompson; two brothers, Charles Keith Taylor, Vince Eric Taylor; eleven nieces; seven nephews; aunts, Ruth Hall and Julie Taylor, both of Brownsville, Tennessee; two special aunts, Annye Roberts and Martha H. Lee; two uncles, David Taylor and JT Hall, both of Brownsville, Tennessee; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Campbell, Helen Doss and Michelle Taylor; one brother-in-law, Karl (Patricia) Bruce; one god-sister, Monica Lacy of Montgomery, Alabama; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Billy Long, Louis Durham and Valentino Torrez.
Edmond was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Taylor Sr., one brother, Bruce Edward, mother and father-in-law, Fannie and John Bruce.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the University of Michigan Health System 8M floor, Dr. Susan Urba and staff, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
