Edward Earl (Supaman) Cage Jr. went home to be with his heavenly father April 4, 2012 at Age 64. He was born on July 31, 1947 in Althiemers, Arkansas to Edward Earl Cage Sr. and Elizabeth Walker-Grimes.
During the early 1950s Earl moved to Saginaw, MI with his mother and stepfather, Marshall P. Grimes. Although Mr. Grimes was not his biological father, he served as Earls mentor, coach, and provider. He was very instrumental in teaching Earl the value of dedication and hard work.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Cage, Grand Rapids, MI; three daughters, Tonia Jackson, Columbus, OH, Schaundala Cage, Saginaw, MI, Monique Cage, Memphis, TN; two sons, Eric (Pamela) Lucas, Grand Rapids, MI, Dion Cage, Las Vegas, NV; three step children, Steve, Andre and Cassandra Allen all of Grand Rapids, MI; 19 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, Melony Hope Mitchell; mother, Leanna Elizabeth Walker-Grimes; sisters, Rose (Von) Nickleberry, Debra (Wayne) Meekins all of Saginaw, MI, Tina Cage, Las Vegas, NV, Bobbie (John) Ray, St. Paul, MN, Carol (Femi) Odeleye, Ann Arbor, MI, Geraldine Cage, New Orleans, LA; brothers, Johnnie Walter, Chicago, IL, Harold Cage, Saginaw, MI, Harvey Cage, Edward Earl (Tracey) Cage II, Karl Cage (Gwendolyn Jackson), Darryl Monroe and Andretti Cage all of Las Vegas, NV and a legacy of other sisters/ brothers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends including special friends, Tony (Kim) Cotton, Broderick McAfee, Nate Richardson, Johnny Red McKinley, Chicago and many more too numerous to name. Earl felt truly blessed to have been a part of your lives. Ed, known as Supaman, will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Earl Cage Sr. & step father, Marshall P. Grimes.
The family would like to express a personal thanks to his niece Taneya Cage-Coleman, Ypsilanti, MI, who was specially loved for the many gestures of kindness and support to Earl. The family would also like to express thanks to CSN Tax Services, Harvey Cage, for holding a special place in Earls heart. You provided an opportunity for Employment, Love and most of allFamily Unity. Keep It Strong! Keep It Together! Keep It Moving!
