Edward Walker (Lansing)

It saddens my heart, my beloved brother passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing, Michigan, due to COVID-19. Age 69 years. He was born September 13, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan.

Edward accepted Christ at a young age. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School, as a member of the Class of 1971. Go Quakers!! Edward was currently employed at FedEx. He was a mentor for the Boys and Girls Club as a teen, when it was located on Center Street in North Lansing. Edward was an avid basketball and tennis player. He was as fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons. Edward was a Trivia Game enthusiast. He was passionate about 70s music especially Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye (What’s Goin’ On).

Edward leaves to cherish his memory his beloved sister, Sheila Walker; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 1:00 PM at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2400 Bennett Road, Okemos, MI 48864.
