Mrs. Effie Tolden, our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandma, sister, and friend spread her wings and went home to our heavenly father on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Tendercare of Saginaw. Age 70 years. She was born on October 23, 1939 in Camden, AR daughter of Rev. Jeff and Janie Trammell.
Momma enjoyed preparing and cooking southern dishes for family and friends. Her hobbies included being an excellent childcare provider to all children she encountered and fishing for crappies in Edenville Lake.
Momma married the love of her life, our daddy, Charlie Tolden in 1958 and to that union five children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Janie (Clarence) Toliver of Saginaw, MI, Linda (Justin) Robinson of Hampton, GA, Teresa (Julius) Williams of Inkster, MI; one brother Melvin (Phyllis) Trammell of Saginaw, MI; four grandchildren, Omarisha Tolden, Kelly Spiller and Charmaine Thomas all of Saginaw, MI, Alfonzo McAfee Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; two great-grandchildren, Dyamond and Omarion Rowe of Saginaw, MI; two very special nieces, Mercies Jones, Tiffany Trammell of Saginaw, MI, many other relatives and friends.
Momma was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Jeff and Janie Trammell; two children, Mary Tolden and Charlie Tolden Jr.
