Elbert Jr. (Lansing) Nickles

Mr. Elbert Clyde Edward Nickles, Jr. passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 48 years. Elbert Jr. was born June 1, 1967 in Lansing, Michigan to Elbert Nickles, Sr. and Ruby Swing and was later adopted by his grandparents, Albert Jr. and Pugar Nickles.

Elbert Jr., affectionately known as Clyde, was raised in Lansing, Michigan. Clyde accepted Christ at an early age while attending Friendship Baptist Church. He was charismatic and known for his warm smile that would light up your heart. While attending Lansing Sexton High School he excelled in football. Clyde enjoyed playing basketball, cooking, fishing trips, and traveling. He attended the University of Phoenix. He worked for Community Mental Health and was a counselor to many for substance abuse prevention programs. Clyde really loved people.

Elbert Jr. leaves to cherish his memory a loving daughter, Katrina Whetstone; son, Kyron Nickles-Beasley; father, Elbert Nickles, Sr.; 3 sisters, Allesha Morris, Pastor Allyssa Narvaez, and Marisa Cooper; 2 nieces, Sierra Narvaez and Kennedy Ferguson; 1 nephew, Darius Morris; 2 aunts, Sana Jones of Racine, Wisconsin, Amelia Nickles, Peoria, Illinois; many cousins other relatives and friends including special family and friends, George (Undrala) Harris and family, Carissa (Quentin) Roberts and family, Hazel Carnegie & family, Yoshita Clark and a special niece, Shanquysia Juice Clark.

He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents/grandparents, Albert Sr. and Pugar Nickles, uncles, Albert Nickles, Jr. and Sidney Davis.
