Eliza Thomas passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 80 years. She was born July 23, 1933 in Helena, Arkansas to Rosie and Ed Thomas.
Eliza was a woman of God who loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Holy Mission Ministries for over 30 years. Eliza loved her church and was a hard worker in the ministry. She was a church mother and a member of the usher board. Eliza was a powerful prayer warrior who would often come into your home and pray for you. Her prayers and presence will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Bobby Thomas; two grandchildren, Eliza Ann and Cynthia Thomas, both of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Viola Reese; three brothers, Johnny, Edward and Robert Thomas; five nieces, Laura M. Tanner, Charlene Thomas, Dorothy Jean Thomas, JoAnn Thomas and Pat Taylor; seven nephews, Edward Thomas Sr., Deon Thomas, Elbert Thomas Jr., Stuyvesant Thomas Chism, Edward Thomas, Charles Thomas and Andre Peoples; one cousin, Charles Ole; two sisters-in-law, Willie Dean Thomas and Olllie Mae Thomas; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Mother Wealthy Howard.
Eliza was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie and Ed Thomas, several other family members, Elbert Thomas, William Simmson, Willie Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Eddie Mae Jenkin, Annie Mae Cooper, Olivia Dovie Simmson and Thomas Reese.
