Our beloved aunt and sister, Ms. Elizabeth “Leah” Caldwell, departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 68 years. She was born August 7, 1949 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Cottrell and Zelma Caldwell.
Ms. Caldwell was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. After graduating high school, she moved to Saginaw to help her sister, Zelma, raise her children. Elizabeth was employed by Saginaw County Hospital for over thirty years, retiring in 2012.
Although she never married or had children, Ms. Caldwell leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and nephews including Tyrone (Surae) Sangster, Lansing, Michigan, Tony (Monica) Sangster, Annette Sangster and Martha Cook, all of Saginaw, Michigan; great-nieces and nephews, Anthony, Shannon, Shayna, Monica, Myiah, Martrevion, and her pride and joy, Eddie Jr; one sister, Delois Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee; four brothers, Frank Caldwell (Sandra Evans), Detroit, Michigan, Tom “T.C.” (Pat) Caldwell, Rockford, Illinois, Clyde (Stella) Caldwell, San Diego, California, Randy Caldwell, Brownsville, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, Thomas White, Dyersburg, Tennessee; special friends, Lizzie Picket, Olivia Houston, Derrick Webb, Pertis (Mattie) Harper.
Elizabeth “Leah” was predeceased by her parents, Cottrell and Zelma Caldwell; one brother, Cottrell, Jr.; two sisters, Zelma Sangster and Doris White.
