Mr. Ellihue Jackson, Jr. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, transitioned to his heavenly home in Lansing, Michigan at the young age of 43 years old. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 6, 1979, the son of Mary Anna Jackson and Ellihue Jackson.
Ellihue (EJ) attended Lansing Schools and received a GED in May 2003. Ellihue loved and cherished his four children, Jakala, LaTrece, Elijah, and Elonzo. He also had a special bond and love for his dear mother Mary Anna. Ellihue had many likes, among them was his love for Jordan shoes, basketball, and football (of which he coached flag football with his kids), and he loved watching movies while laughing and spending time with his children.
Ellihue was baptized and attended Tabernacle of David Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry M. Trice, Jr. He recently renewed his relationship with the Lord and shared his love of God with friends and family praying for and with them. EJ’s smile and kind heart will be truly missed, and his memory will forever live in our hearts.
Ellihue leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Jakala Williams and LaTrece Jackson; two sons, Elijah and Elonzo Jackson; father, Ellihue (Alma) Jackson; brothers, Raymond (Jannette) Coats, Felix (Tiyah) Morris; sister, Latosca Morris; stepbrother, Wendell Jackson; god-sister, Jacqueline (Henry) Nash; aunts, Queen Esther (Elder Ronald) Perteet, Geneva (Rickie) Hawthorne, and Dolores (Elder Ricky) Smith; uncles, Robert (Shelley), Wilbert (Karen), and James Jackson; fiancé, Guadalupe Gonzalez (Gigi); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including special friends, Canaan Bey, Raymond Crump, Brian Thomison, and Alex Watkins.
Ellihue was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anna Jackson; stepbrother, Anthony Jackson; grandparents, Sam and Annie Coats and George and Maxine Jackson; niece, Shatrece Morris; aunts, Martha Jackson, and Johnnie Mae Beasley; uncles, James (Jipp) Patterson, Curtis ShamsidDeen, Milton, and Jerome Jackson.
