Mr. Elsworth Dewey Sims Jr, lovingly called Dewey by family and friends passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at his residence. Age 42 Years. He was born February 6, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Shirley and Elsworth Sims Sr.
Dewey loved dancing, fishing, children, making people laugh and telling jokes.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Monique Sims; three sons, Elsworth Dewey Sims III, Derrick Sims both of Indianapolis, IN, Devunaire Sims, Saginaw, MI; six sisters, Gloria Green, Alice Stephens, Rose Sims all of Saginaw, MI, Robin Wright, Yolanda Wright both of New Orleans, LA, Sherry Sims of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Warren (Brenda) Wright of Saginaw, MI, James Sims, Ronrico Tudor of Indianapolis, IN; grandmother, Mary Wright, Sr, Hammond, LA; six aunts, Gloria Wright, Houston, TX, Bonnie Bradley, Southfield, MI, Marian Robinson, Hammond, LA, Cynthenia McKinley, Vanatra Doughty, Hammond, LA, Geraldine Moore, Indianapolis, IN; six uncles, Robert Clyde Jr., Gerald Sims both of Indianapolis, IN, Edward, Conrad, Gregory, Bryant Wright all of Hammond LA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Albert Jennings, Oliver Bruce Moore, Aaron Porter, Suprina Burns, Latricia Ashworth and godparents James (Sarah) Rowland.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, Elsworth (Shirley) Sims Sr.; grandparents, Robert (Rose) Sims, Hugh (Corrine) Johnson, Freddie Wright Sr.; brother, Derrick Wright; uncles Freddie Wright Jr. and Thomas Wright.
