Emily Gonzales (Lansing)

Emily Gonzales, born Saturday, August 17, 1963. She went to Dance in Heaven on July 2, 2024. Emily was an Eastern High School graduate, Class of 1981. She retired from M.E.S.S.A with 24 years of service. She went from a beautiful soul to a daughter, to a sister, to a mother, to a G-ma, to a Great G-ma, a cousin, friend, and finally back to a beautiful soul. Emily bled Green and White and was a die-hard Michigan State Fan! Emily was one of the most kind and big-hearted people who would do anything for anyone, and she loved her family like no other. 

Emily was the life of the party, always laughing, smiling, but most of all making jokes. Emily will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved to listen to her Tejano music and will be dancing in heaven for eternity.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Iliana Gonzales; G-babies, Sanaiyah Gonzales-Eva Santiago Leija Jr., and Isyas Leija; great grandbaby, the joy of her life and her wedo werinche, Xavier Davis; beloved father, Arturo Gonzales Sr.; brother, Art Gonzales Jr.; nephew, Arty Gonzales III; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Emily was preceded in death by her beautiful mother Gregoria and her beautiful sister Tammy Gonzales.
