Ms. Emma Lou Lowe was born April 11, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to Raymond Lowe and Louisa Wilkins. God called her home on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 82 years.
Emma was a creative being. She loved to draw and write poetry. She was a prayer warrior and was constantly praying for her family and praying over people all over the world. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport and was a dedicated member before her illness.
Emma loved butter pecan ice cream, suckers and honey buns. Besides the children that she raised, Emma loved on and supported over 200 children. She loved these children like her own and always made sure they had a meal. They never forgot her kindness and would always come back to thank her for being a blessing in their lives.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lowe and Louisa Wilkins; sister, Francis Lowe; brother, Joe Lowe; nephew, Joe Lowe, Jr.; cousin who was like a sister, Ida Mae Johnson.
She leaves beautiful memories with four children, Irene and Christine Lowe, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Durand Lowe, North Carolina, Maria Lowe, Iowa; granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter, Latoya Lowe; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nieces, Loretta and Cheryl Lowe; many other loved ones and friends.
