Equayvis Shavar Moten "Quay"

March 25, 1993 — July 9, 2024

Saginaw

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the angels of Heaven descended upon earth to carry our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and nephew home to be with our Lord. Mr. Equayvis Shavar Moten was born on March 25,1993, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lisa Page and the late Eugene Moten III.

Quay, as he was affectionately known, had a contagious smile that would light up and change the atmosphere of any room that he entered.

Quay had a love for his family and friends that he showed and everyone acknowledged. If he loved you, he made sure that you knew it by saying, "LOVE YOU MOST!"

His children were his world, and he was happiest when he was with them. Quay was a true protector of his "Queen," his mother, along with his sisters and nieces.

Quay received his G.E.D. at Delta College and was employed at The Cat's Meow and Lebec's Roofing. He was also a student at Dorsey College, where he was studying to become a certified massage therapist with plans to be his own boss. He only had six weeks to go.

Quay will be missed by everyone he ever encountered. He leaves to cherish his sweet memory, his mother, Lisa Smith and stepfather, James Smith, Saginaw, Michigan; 3 daughters, Jayela J.
