Eric Kendall Smith-Marshall passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Age 30 years.
Eric (Pooh) Kendall Smith-Marshall, was the eldest of five children born to the union of Eric and Chara Marshall on January 1, 1982 in Bay City, Michigan. He received his early education through the Battle Creek and Bay City Public School Districts. Eric graduated from Tabernacle of David Christian Academy with his diploma in Atlanta, Georgia. While living in Atlanta, he united in fellowship with the Tabernacle of David Christian Church where he resided until his departure from this life on November 16, 2012. At a young age Eric accepted Christ under the leadership/tutelage of Pastor Willie C. More at Calvary Grace Pentecostal Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. There he was active as a junior deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was even blessed by God with the vision to name the youth choir Star Bright.
By trade, Eric worked as a builder and construction worker with Bryant and Bryant Interior Contractor. He enjoyed spending time with his children, going to the movies, bowling, listening and recording music. Eric had a giving and caring heart not only to his family but to his friends. Although he is gone he will never be forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Ceorentea Bowens, Eric Marshall; two daughters, Icsyss and Gabriela Marshall all of Atlanta, Georgia; parents, Chara Smith-Marshall of Albion, Michigan and Eric (Terry) Marshall; maternal grandparents, Delores Smith of Albion, Michigan and Willie Smith of Bay City, Michigan; great grandmother, Australia Smith of Bay City, Michigan; six brothers and five sisters, Jasper Marshall, Charanda (Carl) Whittaker, Erica (Ryan) Linhorst all of St. Louis, Missouri; Stephen Marshall of Kentucky; Tabitha Marshall of Albion, Michigan; Odetha, Eric, Derrick and Cleveland Marshall all of St. Louis, Missouri; Romalus Marshall and Melba Walker both of Bay City, Michigan. He also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and godmother Francine Ivey of Atlanta, Georgia.
Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cleveland and Odetha Marshall.
