She was born February 16, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Willie C. and Evelyn Stone.
At an early age, Erine's family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, she recently moved to Dallas, Texas to be with her children. She obtained her GED from Reuben Daniels Life Long Learning Center and pursued a career with Genesee Packing, serving as a supervisor. She was a member of the Refuge Center Ministries under the leadership of Relinda Mushatt, where she sang on the Praise team and was a member of the choir. She truly loved her church family. She met the love of her life, Mr. Willie Washington in 1975 and together the raised a loving family. Erine loved her family and was a wonderful, loving, meek-spirited, dedicated family member to have and to hold. Her dedication and support will truly be missed by all who loved her dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mr. Willie Washington of Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, Jacqueline Annette Stone of Dallas, Texas; two step-daughters, Sandra Washington of Suitland, Maryland and Anissa (Derrick) Robinson of Severn, Maryland; grandchildren, Marvin Stone of Saginaw, Michigan, Monique Stone, Jalana Nettles, Shardana Nettles, Myesha Nettles, all of Dallas, Texas; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Stone, Evelyn Jean Stone and Retha Mae Stone, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Frank Stone of Alabama; special niece, Marquerite Williams of Saginaw, Michigan; nephew, Charles Carethers of Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends, including special friend, Ruby Stanton.
Erine was preceded in death by her parents, Willie C. and Evelyn Stone; sister, Debra Pleasant; brother, Willie C. Stone, Jr.; aunt, Exie Mae Brown "Muh Dear".
The family would like to express a special thanks to the 5th floor Nursing Staff at Texas Health Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas and the Refuge Center Ministries Church family for all of their support and prayers.
