Mr. Ernest Charleston, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 82 years. He was born May 14, 1932 to Georgia A. Williams and Mr. Cleveland Charleston.
Ernest moved to Saginaw, Michigan and worked for General Motors for many years. He was baptized as a Jehovahs Witness in 1969 and loved to teach the truth to others. Ernest loved his whole family dearly. He was a strong, thoughtful person. Always helping everyone he could. He was loved intensely and will be missed every minute he is not here. But for now, he is resting safely in Jehovahs memory.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Charleston; three children, Gregory Charleston, Angela Charleston and Garrett (Tracie) Charleston; three grandchildren, Tanza Charleston-Hinds, Takiia (Terry Lee) Waldrop, Solomon Teverbaugh; one great-grandchild, Royalty NeTres Hinds; two sisters, Geraldine Barnes-Keys of Fort Washington, Maryland, and Mary Kate Frierson of Riverside, California; many nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia A. Williams, his father Mr. Cleveland Charleston, sister, Lillie Mae Ragsdale, and two brothers, Robert Boles and Andrew "Ted" Boles.
