Ernest "Terrell" Blakney (Lansing)

Mr. Ernest Terrell Blakney passed away September 3, 2022. Age 47 years. He was born October 17, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois. The son of Ernest L. Blakney and Rosa M. Jackson.

Ernest was employed as a school bus driver as well as with Bagger’s by Black Waste Management. Following that, he started his own trucking company called “T.G.I. Black” located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Outside of work, he enjoyed hosting parties, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his six children.

He leaves to cherish his memory former partner, Cherie (Atlanta, GA); children, Ernest T. Blakney Jr., Tyquan, Tirell, Blakney Tyler, Jeliani, and Nazir; grandchildren (4);mother, Rosa M. Jackson, stepfather, Tommie L. Jackson; siblings, Gail R. (James) Dilworth, Rachel D. Black, and Eric D. Blakney; nieces, Ashley Smith, Erika Blakney, Ashley Black, Lateace Madena, Shelprise Pearl, and special niece Ieshia M. Adams; nephews, Kavoris Blakney, Corey McCray; Brian McCray, Jr., Brandon McCray, Ernest Blakney, Eric Blakney, Jr., Eric Blakney-Smith, Edward Blakney-Smith, Derrick Blakney-Smith, Demarcas Smith, and Perry Black, Jr.; aunts, Dorothy Wilson, Willemae Shanklin, and Ladora Jackson; uncles, Abraham Jackson and Roger Shanklin; very special cousins, Tyrone Keys and Fedale Blakney; and honorary aunt, Sarah Nick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Blakney; grandmothers, Lena Blakney and Emma Keys; grandfathers, Doc Blakney and Willie Adams; and niece, Treasure Adams.
