Ernestine Jones was born August 5, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Oscar and Erma Jones. She transitioned from this life on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
Ernestine, lovingly called “Tina”, was a long-time resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She had a passion for cooking and was always loving and caring. Her favorite tv shows were Walker Texas Ranger and In the Heat of the Night. She also loved animals, especially her dogs and fish.
Tina was a proud member of the Grandparents club for many years at First Ward Community Center. She was a fan of the Detroit Pistons and loved to watch them play. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will truly be missed and forever remembered by those who knew her best.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her son, Van Braddock; daughter, Sylvia Braddock; parents, Oscar and Erma Jones; sister, Cynthia Jones; brothers, Oscar Jr., James, Leroy, Michael Jones, Sampson Allen; grandson, Zerrick Braddock.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, L.C. Braddock, Jr., Dixon, Dewayne, Victoria Jones, Anita (Dan) Patrick; grandchildren, Evon Love, Latavia, Damion, Daneisha, Mitchell Braddock, Eric Riley, Cherrish Bentley, La’Nyia, Ta’kyia, Renecia, Jasmine, Kawonisha, Jermesha, Davarion, Geraldine, Dawanda, Michael, DeQuan Jones; sisters, Margaret Lawrence, Arlene Jones, Marsha Calloway; brothers, Kenneth (Mary) Jones; Johnathan Jones; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
