Ervin Laster, Jr.

Mr. Ervin Laster, Jr. passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 64 years.

He was born August 3, 1954 in Mobile, Alabama to Viola and Robert Laster, Sr., who predeceased him. He moved to Michigan, married Queen Esta Burnett, and decided to make Saginaw his home. Ervin enjoyed attending church, music, laughing, joking, and having fun with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, pool, biking and basketball.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Richard and Lola Young of Dallas County, Alabama; sister, Marita Laster Anderson; sister-in-law, Dollie Laster; nephew, Anthony “Rell” Selvey; great-nephew, Terence Holliday Anderson; two beloved special friends, Christine McDaniel and Arron Louise Thornton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Queen Esta Laster; two daughters, Talesha Brown-Mills, Christine Lola McDaniel; two sons, Jack Jermaine Laster and Ervin Laster, Jr.; his loving, devoted companion of seven years, Elizabeth Boatman; her daughter, Milini Rollie, and five grandchildren. Ervin also leaves seven stepchildren, Pamela, Lawanda, Narval, Reginald and Christopher McDaniel; Tonya Burnett and Audreia Johnson; two brothers, Robert Laster, Jr., Isaac Laster, Sr.; twelve grandchildren; six nephews, Robert Laster, III, Robert Earl Parham, Donald Anderson, Isaac Laster, Jr., Isaac Laster, III, Marcell Adams; four nieces; Donn Price, Maratie Selvey, Stacy Fifer, Loletta Laster; brother-in-law, Donald Anderson, Sr.; sister-in-law, Barbara Laster-Pittman; a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including two best friends, Nathaniel Nixon and Johnny Ray.

Ervin, we are all going to miss you, but we truly thank God for the memories, for we know we will see you again.
