August 26, 1941 — February 3, 2011

Mother Essie Lee McMath, our beloved mother and missionary, left her earthly house for her heavenly reward Thursday, February 3, 2011. Age 69 years. She was born August 26, 1941 in Vardaman, Mississippi to Thomas and Jewel Echoles.
Essie married Jimmy McMath at an early age, he preceded her in death. Mother Essie joined New Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. in 1984 under the leadership of Supt. Allen Paige. She was dedicated to God, her church and her children. She was self-employed as a day care worker for 30 years. Mother Essie finished her course and ran the race. Well done soldier, your crown awaits you.
She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters and two sons, Mary, Leroy (Patrice), Emma, Barbara (Leonard), Patricia, Gregory (Michele), Vonometer Tiny, Latamara McMath; grandchildren, Calvin, Ebony, Omarisha, Santanya (Tink), Chenita (Bill), Tyrone, DeAndre (Christal), Titus (Monica), Carlos, Gregory, De Shatoria, DeMarques, Ronald, Keyiman, Aaliyah, Alexis, Ameil, Dambera, Martinique, Marie, Candice, Kelly; twenty-one great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Hayes; one brother, Thomas (Dorothy) Echoles; mother-in-law, Roxie McMath; special niece, Mary Washington; special cousins, James (Bessie) Nash, Grace Isaac, Billie Joe Nash; sister-in-law, Rose (George) Taylor; brothers-in-law, Luther Norwood Sr., James (Lucy) McMath, Henry and Mose McMath, Dave (Clydia) Perry; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
including special friends, Ruby Jackson, Janice Knight, Ella (James) Gordon, god-mother, Mary Jones, Cherelle Mark (Ellie) Rainey. The family would like to express a special thanks to Heartland Hospice of Bay City, MI, Bishop Zachary Williamson, New Life Full Gospel Church, Pastor Charles & Elizabeth Coleman, New Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., Pastor Danny Roberson, and Catherine Kendall, Paradise Funeral Chapel Staff, Sharon Smith, Janice Lacey and Darinta Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Theresa McDaniel; four sisters, Scottie Norwood, Patricia Perry, Ruthie Washington, Lila Thomas and grandson, Ryan Joiner Jr.
