Deacon Eugene Moten III
Surrounded by his children and loved ones, our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, nephew, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the age of 60 years. Mr. Eugene Moten III was born on November 29, 1963, in Saginaw, Michigan to Eugene Moten Jr. and the late Joyce E. Moten.
Sonny, as he was affectionately known, attended Saginaw High School and earned his diploma in 1982. He was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Blake D. Strozier, where he served on the Deacon Board alongside his dad, until his illness.
Sonny loved his family and his cars, and you had better not mess with either one of them. He will truly be missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.

Moten all of Saginaw, Michigan, Trienise S. (Johnny) Benson, Greer, South Carolina; 1 bonus daughter, Takiyalh L. Collier, Saginaw, Michigan; 38 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Katherine R. (James) Curry, Saginaw, Michigan; 5 brothers, Craig A. (Amy) Moten, Baker, Louisiana, James J. (Rozlyn) Holifield, Wayne, Michigan, Charles L. Moten and Curtis E. Moten, Saginaw, Michigan, and Brian C. Moten, Redford, Michigan; 16 nephews and 9 nieces; uncles, Bennie W. Falls Jr. and Oscar J. (Evelyn) Moten Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Venita F. McNair, Christine Brookins, Dorothy A. Haire, Thelma L. (Bobby Sr.) Kelley and Lottie B. Bonds all of Saginaw, Michigan; godbrother, Chris Murray; and a host of cousins and friends.
Mr. Eugene Moten III was preceded in death by his first true love, his mother, Joyce E. Moten; grandparents, Ernestine T. and Eugene Moten Sr., Katherine and Bennie W. Falls Sr.; aunts, Adell Moten, Florida B. McGowan, Katie L. Moten, Alicia K. Falls and Sarah L. Boose; uncles, Ernest Moten Sr., John W. Falls Sr. and John Q. Moten; and special friend, Gary Hunt.
