Evangelist Eula Smith transitioned from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at age 82. She was born in Sherrill, Arkansas to the late Griffin and Carrie Webb.

Eula courted Albert J. Smith and they married on August 25, 1957 at the age of twenty years old. Eula and Albert celebrated 51 years of marriage. Together they had eight children. Evangelist Smith loved her husband and children and gave great care and attention to them.

She received salvation and her minister’s licensure through the Pentecostal Assembles of the World at Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith, Saginaw, Michigan. She worked in ministry as a Prayer Warrior, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Choir member and later became a ministering evangelist. She was faithful and dedicated to God!

Eula enjoyed learning to play the piano. She retired from Community Hospital Services after more than 25 years of service. She enjoyed singing, cooking (Did we say cooking?). After eating she would say “I’m full as a tick!” Shopping, entertaining company and family were some of her favorite things to do. In her latter years, she enjoyed doing puzzle books and continued to sing in the choir.

Eula’s memory will be cherished by her three daughters, Beverly A. Smith, Brenda R. Blakes, Bridget D. Smith; three sons, Alfred D. Smith, Anthony S. Smith, Saginaw, Michigan and Albert E. Smith, Lansing Michigan; two wonderful sisters, Bernice Williams, Detroit Michigan, Mary Lee Frazier, Saginaw, Michigan; two step-sisters, Pearl Cabine, Zerastine Hicks, Flint, Michigan; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special niece and running buddy, Gloria Herd, who was her wonderful caregiver; a host of family and friends will also miss her.
