Evangelist Dorlean Morgan

On July 26, 2021, our mother, Evangelist Dorlean A. Morgan, was asked for her hand in marriage. The wedding is to take place in heaven, surrounded by roses, family and friends. There will be singing and praying. No more tears, just peace, peace and more peace.

Evangelist Dorlean Anninnette Morgan was born October 1, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jasper Morgan, Sr. and Anna Beatrice McKinnis. Dorlean attended and graduated from R.T. Coles High School. She came to Saginaw, Michigan as a young adult after the death of her grandmother, Cordia Roger McKinnis. She attended Delta College and pursued a nursing degree.

Evangelist Morgan gave her life to Christ at the age of nineteen. She continued to grow that relationship with the Lord until her passing. She enjoyed church and being with her church family, The Temple of Faith Apostolic Church. After the death of Pastor Mattie Lou Works, Evangelist Morgan joined Apostolic Life Church of Bay City under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Johnson.

Evangelist Morgan enjoyed sewing and raising her children. She was blessed with strength and wisdom to raise her children and some grandchildren. Her presence, beautiful spirit and warm hugs will forever be cherished in our hearts and memory.

Evangelist Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Morgan and Anna Beatrice McKinnis; brothers, Jasper Jr. and Edward Morgan; sister, Dorothy Blakes; grandson, Solomon Ervin, Asis Miree and Anthony Smith.

She leaves a legacy with her children, Jeryl, Stan (Robin), Elvin (Kay), Jennifer, Kimberly Ervin, Betty (Willie) Harris, all of Muskegon, Michigan, Delores (Arnette) Bond, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Michael (Nakyla) Ervin, Detriot, Michigan, Zipporah (Rufus) Jackson, Benjamin (Sherry) Ervin, Jasper Morgan IV, Jerry Lee Cochrane, all of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Gary, Deon (Jackie), Lashonda, Nikka, Kenyiatta, Dorlean, Jasper, Marcus, Nicholas, China (Mark), Asia, Alexis, Sunobia, Cameron, Quanzell, LaTiffany, Darlene, Junior, Sherita (Billy), Kendrick (Jessica), Shafronia (Kelyvern), Michael, Michelle (Brandon); sisters, Joslin Morgan, Patricia Jackson; niece, Rose (Leonard) Haggins, Kansas City, Missouri; aunts, Geraldine (Morgan) Anderson, Bobbie Sowell; cousin, Edward Cunningham; many other loved ones and friends.
