Mr. Everett D. Luke passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. Age 57 years. He was born on November 2, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to William Earl and Sunobia Luke Sims.
Everett was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1981. Upon completion of his military service, Everett received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army. He was a very loving person who enjoyed having fun with his family and friends. Everett was very joyful, and he loved joking around and playing cards. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sunobia Sims; sons, Marquez Luke, Christopher Pettigrew and Donevin Luke; daughter, Destiny Johnson; grandchildren, Karalynn and Kai Pettigrew, and Kyndal Luke; stepson, Nick Johnson; stepdaughter, Tiana Johnson; brother, Ernest Eillas; sister, and best friend whom he inspired to enlist in the U.S. Army, Antwinette Luke, sister, Tangela (George) Hunt; many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Tramaine Luke; special cousins, Linda and Gloria Crowley, and Brenda Beckom; many other relatives and friends including very special friends, Trina Johnson and Dave Perry.
Everette was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Luke, stepmother, Pauline Luke, brothers, Anthony and Cedrick Luke, sister, Shonta Delisa Luke, grandmothers, Gennie Rayford and Marie Washington, cousins, Vestie Bradley Jr., Leo Washington, and many other loved ones.
