Everlina Jean Brown passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Age 75 years. She was born June 4, 1937 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Madie and Melvin Shavers.
Everlina was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of New Galilee Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Luciose Lewis Jr. Everlina was a certified nursing assistant and was employed at Martin Luther Nursing Home for over 35 years. She loved to cook and was well known for her fabulous cakes and pies. Her grandsons say they were the best in the world. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Gone but never forgotten, her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Russell A. and Kenneth Brown; grandchildren, Willie Chandler, Randen (Natosha) Brown, Chynal and Charday Brown, Jaylen and Mya Marshall; great-grandchildren, Naiya Monroe, Tony Williams, Randen Brown Jr.; two brothers, John (Irene) Shavers, James (Cathy) Shavers; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Lizzie Carruth, Vera Jones, Linda Smith, Ruby Weems.
Everlina was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown, a daughter, Jackie Chandler, parents, Madie and Melvin Shaver.
