Fannie B. Johnson

April 23, 1929 — February 16, 2020

Mrs. Fannie B. Johnson was born April 23, 1929 in Doddsville, Mississippi to Nathan and Maude (McClain) Wilson. After 90 blessed years of living, God called her home to be with him on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Fannie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had gifted hands that allowed her to be a beautician for many years. She enjoyed going for long walks, reading, riding her bike and working in her garden. She loved all kinds of flowers and often kept fresh ones just to admire their beauty.

Fannie was full of love and life. She enjoyed dancing and cooking for her family. A pet lover also, she was very fond of cats and dogs. She enjoyed beautiful things and was a collector of fine crystal. We are grateful to God for this wonderful woman he loaned us for ninety beautiful years.

Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Johnson Jr.; parents, Nathan and Maude Wilson; sisters, Evelyn Sinclair Gomalia, Minnie Lee Bernette, Cornie Dye; brother, Mannie Wilson.

She leaves precious memories with her only child, Dorothy L. Smith; grandchildren, Eric N. Johnson, Sr., Erica K. Smith, both of Saginaw, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Ayanna Johnson, Eric N. Johnson, Jr., Brandan Smith Carter, all of Saginaw, Michigan; sister, Mary Wilson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends Dionne, Faye, Chubby, Tony, the Wayne, Bernette and Lois Families.

The family would like to express special thanks to Nurse Shelly, Saginaw Police Department and EMTs, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
