Ms. Fannie Mae Lambert-Nelson passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at her residence. Age 84 years. She was born April 22, 1931 to Robert and Ada Hamer in Benton County, Mississippi.
Ms. Nelson was a member of the Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ for over 40 years. She attended Grace Chapel Church under the leadership of Pastor James Nelson, where she served on many boards. Ms. Nelson enjoyed her family, talking on the phone, sewing and quilting and taking care of people. She was blessed with a very giving heart. There wasnt anything that she would not do for anyone. Ms. Nelson will be truly missed by family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters and one son, Samuel Lambert, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan, Patricia (William) Breitenbach of Douglasville, Georgia, Linda Thomas and Shirley Lawrence both of Columbus, Ohio; four stepsons, Steven MD, Scott M, Sherman and George; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Grace) Hamer of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, Pastor James (Odie) Nelson; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Lula Pierson and Gregory Willis.

Ms. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ada Hamer, husband Gaylord Nelson, two grandsons, Delvin and Leroy Washington, one granddaughter, Tuwana Williams, three sisters and one brother.
